The Story
About
Chasing Sakana
Sakana means fish in Japanese. And that's really all this is — a channel about chasing them. No production crew, no sponsors calling the shots, no scripted reactions. Just a camera, a rod, and whatever the water gives us that day.
Why We Film
Real Fishing. Documented.
Most fishing content online is highlight reels — big catches, perfect conditions, gear that costs a fortune. We wanted something different. Something that shows the slow mornings, the missed strikes, the drives home with an empty cooler.
Chasing Sakana started as a personal project to document sessions we'd otherwise forget. It turned into something bigger — a community of people who fish for the love of it, not the likes.
Whether you're a weekend angler or someone who plans their whole year around the seasons, this channel is for you.
Authentic
We don't cut the slow parts. The waiting is part of fishing.
Accessible
You don't need expensive gear to have a great day on the water.
Honest
We show the misses as much as the catches. That's the real game.
